Each spring, DCA features an exhibit highlighting the year's reunion classes and the 2013 exhibit is now up in the Tisch Library's display cases located near the Tower Cafe. The larger display case features images and objects from the 60th reunion (1953) to the 5th (2008). This includes items that document the changing student body and celebrate the various events, activities, and organizations that make up life on the Hill.
Later reunion years highlight protests, events, and student groups like the LGBT and Africana Centers. The exhibit also looks at the changing face of Tufts.edu. Through archive.org's Wayback machine, we were able to capture the Tufts homepage in 1998 and 2008 as well as a website from 2003 by the "Nerd Girls at Tufts University," a group of women hoping to break the stigmas and stereotypes of women in engineering.
The smaller display case exhibits life at Tufts 100 and 75 years ago in 1913 and 1938. This includes student groups, activities and events like the long forgotten freshman/sophomore wrestling match. In addition, the Great New England Hurricane hit the Boston area in September of 1938, and the exhibit displays photographs and a letter by Professor Meville S. Munro documenting the storm and its effects on the Tufts community.
